Raashi’s rudiments of fashion began as a 10 year old with a process to design that has become exclusively her style. This early aesthetic sensibility for designing clothes coupled with an interest and understanding of fine fabrics led her into a career in the fashion world.

A 20 year career in the fashion industry. An opportunity to cater to some of the high-end luxury brands in creating exquisite pieces of garments completed this circle of knowledge.

The Pursuit

The desire for creating beautifully designed rich evening dresses for women led to the inception of Sera By Raashi.

Reviving original handcrafted delicate embroidery in luxury evening gowns and cocktail dresses is her signature style.

Finally, infusing them with the right silk, flowing fabric and workmanship, all made for a woman that knows exactly what appeals to her sensibility and suits her body. The philosophy behind creating these pieces is the versatility they offer to be worn at a number of occasions – ballroom and black tie affairs, formal and corporate dinners.

Raashi believes that it is a women’s body that defines the shape of a dress. Reviving the age-old concept of luxury couture through personal services with every made-to-order piece. Followed by a series of fittings to enhance and highlight the silhouette.

The Atelier

Hong Kong will remain the foundation for Sera By Raashi. The source of inspiration is Asia – having lived in multiple cities in a continent that is full of soul. The studio in Aberdeen functions as a workshop for the Ready-To-Wear and Couture collections.
